1. Re: Better anti-aliasing in Illustrator CS4?
Scott Falkner Apr 22, 2009 3:19 PM (in response to HeroicDreamsNate)You might get better results if you rasterize in Photoshop, but the real problem isn't Illustrator's aliasing or anti-aliasing, but the angle of your curves. A shallow angle and a thin line will conspire to make your curves appear aliased, and there's very little you can do about it.

HeroicDreamsNate Apr 22, 2009 3:44 PM (in response to Scott Falkner)rasterizing in photoshop doesn't change anything unless I bring the artwork into photoshop as pixels and reduce the image size. Which I guess could potentially suit my purposes, but I'd rather be able to do it all in illustrator.
The real problem is illustrator rendering the curves. I should be able to draw any type of line I want. It's a rediculous statement to say you can't draw shallow curves. Cartoons are rarely squared off, but rather a bunch of curved lines. I was hoping there was some setting in illustrator I didn't know about that could add further anti-aliasing to the drawings.

HeroicDreamsNate Apr 22, 2009 10:06 PM (in response to Wade_Zimmerman)That's not a bad idea. I still wish there was a way to have sharp smooth lines though.

Wade_Zimmerman Apr 23, 2009 3:52 AM (in response to HeroicDreamsNate)No doubt about it and there should be no reason if we can do this
manually why the cannot do something similar and make it autmatic.
