Font changes when converting to PDF

We use Crystal Reports VIA our Intranet for reporting purposes.  When a user needs to have a hard copy of the report, it is converted to a PDF and then printed through Adobe Acrobat Reader.

When the report is printed through the Adobe, the font becomes smaller and the placement on the page is changed.  If this is a report, this is acceptable, but if it is labels or a mail merge letter with specific placement on a page, this is unacceptable.  I am using either Arial or Times New Roman, font size 9 - 12 depending on the application for all applications.  We are using Acrobat reader 8 on our server for this function.

I have tried changing the Adobe print setup when I print the document to print as image, shrink or fit to page, anything I can think of and nothing seems to work.

      Any ideas?
