I've been toying around for a while, but I can't seem to find a decent method to render my 1280x720 video that doesn't look like crap.
I've switched between several video types (mainly avi and mov), but I can't find a suitable method.
I am a total noob to this stuff and though I'd prefer to use a .mov or .avi file (since any PC can pretty much play them), I need some good setting to output a quality video.
All of this stuff about bitrate/pixel type/etc, I just have no idea what I'm doing.
I appreciate any advice.
The only way I've found is to export uncompressed UYVY which will give you a freakin' humongous but beautiful file. Then use some other software that will recognize various codecs and squash the file sizes that way. I'm using the LEAD MJPEG codec because it's fast, cheap and good. Why Premiere doesn't acknowledge its existence is beyond me, but then again Premiere is presently living in a world of its own in a lot of areas!
You might also try "Make Movie" from After Effects.
