Greetings. I am new to AF. I need some help. I have a picture of a cat and two deer. I made a layer composition (one layer is the cat's tail) in Photoshop and saved it as a PSD file. Now I want to pull it into After Effects and put some motion in the cat's tail. I want to swing the cat's tail in either direction over a short time period. The problem I am having is, which effect to use for the motion and how to put the anchor point on the cat's tail, then rotate. Can anyone talk me throught this? At this point any help would really be appreciated Thank you Jeanne
A super-simple and effective way to get the curly swing motion of a cat's tail would be to use CC Bender and CC Bend It wit ha few keyframes, possibly combined with conventioanl layer rotation to accentuate or compensate... Other than that Bezier Warp or the Puppet Tool should work as well, they just require more keyframing work as they have more controls...
Thanks for your responses everyone. I will try again today. As I am totally new to AF, I may need a few more pointers, but I want to try on my own first. Thanks again. Jeanne
