I'm very new to Captivate (but a LONG time user of Flash and Photoshop). On the Captivate 4 splash screen is a button to create a new design template. When I click this I'm presented with the design template slides which have a resolution of 640x480. How can I create design templates at higher resolutions?
My main reason for doing this is to create a custom branded background for my projects.
Perhaps there's a different way I should be approaching 'custom backgrounds'?
Thanks very much for any help or advice.
I believe you are misunderstanding Design Templates. I don't believe they work to adjust the display size. Instead, they work by allowing you to configure how your Text Captions, Highlight Boxes and other elements of Captivate appear. You then apply a Design Template to an existing project to influence the changes to those items. Much as you would use CSS to influence formatting.
You got the right answer from Captiv8r concerning the goal of the Design Templates.
For the purpose you mentioned, I think you have to create a Project Template, because in there you can put your standard background, logo, choose the size etc. Give it a try... Lilybiri
