We are looking to stream a live class to a remote class room. For that, we have two cameras running local to capture the teacher. FME (Flash Media Encoder) can be used to capture one camera and publish it. I don't think it can be used to publish two cameras on the same stream id.
We need some live editing capability to switch back and forth between the cameras and, hopefully, with some transition efects...
But the cameras must be combined in one output stream... I was wondering what kind of software/hardware would I need to do that... Can premiere be used for that?
Premiere can't do it.
"Wirecast acts a a video switcher on your desktop to allowing transitioning between sources via cuts, dissolves, page turns, ripples and many other features. These effects are not "cheezy" but look very professional.
What's unique about this tool is that you can streaming multiple sources such as: videos, iSight cameras, Powerpoint presentations, Keynote presentation, computer desktops, and application windows."
Took about 15 seconds to find on Google.
