I have a PDF open from directory B, Directory B resides in Directory A. I need to get the name of A.
There are probably several ways of doing this...Here's my variant:
root = this.path;
root = root.substring(0,root.lastIndexOf("/"));
root = root.substring(0,root.lastIndexOf("/"))+"/";
You continue to be of great help to me, thank you.
Your script gets me
/C/Documents and Settings/kent/Desktop/RedGlacierEagles/__RedTeam/FolderA/
how do I derive just FolderA as a variable?
For that I would use a different approach:
splitpath = this.path.split("/");
rootparent = splitpath[splitpath.length-3];
Believe it or not I do learn from getting help on this forums. I very much appreciate it.
