Hard to tell with the details supplied.

Any other configuration information required? Again, same hardware, and as far as I can tell, same application settings that worked in CS3 now not working in CS4.
The Canon wraps P material in a 60i wrapper, so your sequence setting should reflect that. It is not a 24P camera, it is a 60i camera.
The signal setup on the cam itself is set for HD with a 24F frame rate and Comp. Out 1080i/480i. None of this was shot in 60i.
Am I to change something in Premiere?
I know, but Canon wraps everything shot at 24F in a 60i wrapper for the simple reason that the tape speed is not adjusted to reflect your shoot settings. So you still need to import into a 60i sequence and apply pulldown.
Thanks. I will give it a try and let you know (likely next week).
CS4 do the 24p pulldown automatically like it used to. Know you have to right-click 'interpret footage' and make sure the 24p dv checkbox is checked.
When you look at the clip in the timeline does it say 23.976 or 29.976 (if it says 29.97 then you have to manually remove the pulldown.
