    Flex Running in SharePoint

    DougLeech
      Hi,
      I have written a FLEX app which uses a WebService - the code works fine when run in a browser - it also works fine when configured to run in an AIR app. However, when I load it as a SharePoint webpart I get the following error in a message popup:

      fault: [FaultEvent fault=[RPC Fault faultString="Security error accessing url" faultCode="Channel.Security.Error" faultDetail="Destination: DefaultHTTP"] messageId="2F1F5636-4C5D-6B70-DB5E-57AEF6A92242" type="fault" bubbles=false cancelable=true eventPhase=2]

      I have a crossdomain.xml file located at the root where the webservice is located - before I put the file there I got a different error so I know the file is being found. The contents of the file are:

      <?xml version="1.0"?>
      <!DOCTYPE cross-domain-policy '
      SYSTEM " http://www.macromedia.com/xml/dtds/cross-domain-policy.dtd">
      <cross-domain-policy>
      <allow-access-from domain="*" />
      </cross-domain-policy>

      The code I use for the webservice is (using a different IP address):
      <mx:WebService id="ws1" wsdl=" http://137.123.29.248:4000/Service1.asmx?wsdl" showBusyCursor="true" >
      <mx:operation name="HelloWorld" >
      <mx:request>
      </mx:request>
      </mx:operation>
      </mx:WebService>

      Does anyone know of someone who has had a webservice work from a FLEX app within SharePoint?
