If it works then keep the ASIO driver installed.
I am with Eddie on this, and use it on one computer with a Realtek/Creative 5.1 chip. Works perfectly. Just remember that you will want to set it for ALL of your programs, that handle Audio. This might take some time, if you have say PrPro, Audition/Soundbooth, and other apps. Make sure to check that each one is set the same way, or you might get some odd results and not be working from the same baseline (for Audio Levels, etc.) in other programs.
A few people have not had great results, probably due to their particular hardware configurations, but for most, it is perfect.
Thanks to everybody, guys, I surely will.
Now, with ASIO, I have fixed a small latency problem during recording in Audition and Soundboot
Yes, I have Audition 3 and Soundboot:
Hunt: how did you know it?
Do you read into my pc?
Ah, naughty guy!!!!!!!
Soundbooth was pretty obvious. Audition was just a guess. Your computer is safe from MY prying eyes! [Grin]
When I added ASIO4All, it took me half a day to set it up in every danged program, and I still missed one of the Magix Audio programs, until I went to use it next.
Thanks God, no spies 'round me!
I know I'll surely miss some application, but anyway, I'll do my best.
You see? I was going to miss "Nero Wave" app., but maybe it's better I delete it..................
Thanks for mentioning that one. I had forgotten that I even had it, and have NOT changed the Preferences. Just so happens that I will be using it for its "Karaoke" Effect on a Project soon. OK, I missed two!
