How can I script an image to open an embedded video?

Here's what we're doing. We currently have a PDF that has images that link to html files that contain an embedded video (.flv videos). We want to embed those videos into the PDF but we still want the person reading the PDF to be able to click the image to play the video. So you click the image and the image becomes a video player that starts playing the video. After the video finishes it goes back to being an image.

I don't want the video player to be showing before the image is clicked. Is this possible?
