I am working on a project here where the data from a LiveCycle form is sent to a SQL database automaticly when the submit button is pressed. Currently I am working on formatting the data in a manor that MySQL will accept. I am brand new to this so if I'm making some big mistake here please let me know.
To test and find the correct type of data I have just been uploading various "samples" and have found that CSV works the best
Can LiveCycle Export the information in CSV format? (or is there a better way of doing this ?)
No. LIveCycle can't export data in CSV format. Usually the form data is xml.
Are you using LiveCycle on the server, or just using a LiveCycle form.
If you're using LiveCycle form only, then it only outputs data as XML. (you're also on the wrong forum.)
If you're using LiveCycle on the server, you have a few options - it's still XML, but you can use the SQL component to talk directly to a database, or the SetValue component to construct a CSV file. There are various other options.
