Bouncing MIDI to audio - Lost notes

    funkbomb Community Member

      Hi,

Using Audition 3.0.1 on x64 machine, 4GB of RAM, dual Opteron dual core. I am trying to bounce down or export a solo MIDI track in a session (the only track in the session!) running through Synthogy Ivory VST piano plugin. Every time I try, lots of notes are dropped. I am using E-mu 0404 USB as my audio hardware, with the buffer set to 8ms or 80ms it does not matter. Same missed notes. Real-time playback is fine however. What is going on?! I have plenty of memory, plenty of speed, plenty of everything...except working software, apparently. Any help would be appreciated.

I have the same issue.  I was using a soft syth called "Autogun."   The notes wnet on the Midi track properly and they play back properly but when I try to bounce the midi to be an audio file in the multitrack, some notes get lost along the way.  Some are single notes by themselves, some of the notes dropped are part of a chord.

It is a little disappointing that no one from Adobe has addressed this yet.

To get around this, I have to record the midi audio throgh a separate track on the multitrack as it plays in real time and then adjust the recorded track for latency.  It sucks to have to do this everytime.
