1. Re: Paste in place & Custom arrow shape?
CynthiaD14 Feb 28, 2010 11:03 AM (in response to spenlinhauer)I'm bumping this back to the top because it appears that no one at Adobe has bothered to address the problem with the arrows. This has come up before when Version 8 came out! And now here it is still in version 9. Arrows in version 6 look nice and the arrowhead size is adjustable, but now they do not have pointed ends. Also, there is no way to adjust the size of the arrowhead, only the line thickness which automatically adjusts the arrowhead size. You increase the line thickness and the arrowheads become huge!
Please fix this!

CtDave Feb 28, 2010 11:20 AM (in response to CynthiaD14)Hi,
Have you considered submission of a feature request?
Perhaps, if enough like requests go in, an update or new release may have the feature.
Remember, although Adobe personnel do visit here on occassion, this is primarily a user-to-user forum.Feature Requests/Bug Report Form

3. Re: Paste in place & Custom arrow shape?
spenlinhauer Mar 1, 2010 9:33 PM (in response to CtDave)I have asked Adobe more questions that I can shake a stick at, this included. Even mentioning that though we own 9, we continue to use 6 for more reasons than I can post here. In fact any decent research will reveal that for some reason adobe stopped listening to us, its customers, after version 6, so while I have suggested and asked for help in understanding WHY they downgrade their product, I have never even received a response that they reviewed or consider my points..... (I should also mention that we have the same problems with Microsoft, and as such continue to use Excel 2002 with no foreseeable plans to upgrade, ever - everything I need to do, takes longer, more mouse clicks and doesn't make me produce anything better.....)
I have re-submitted a request - although I consider It a bug - and I also consider & evaluate alternate products at every chance. Oh, and I still advise my colleagues to use version 6.
Thanks for the pointer.
SEPP!

CynthiaD14 Mar 2, 2010 7:40 AM (in response to spenlinhauer)I submitted a request as well. Maybe if they get enough of them, they'll finally fix this.

5. Re: Paste in place & Custom arrow shape?
cmabee Apr 26, 2010 11:24 AM (in response to CynthiaD14)Count me in as well. I just submited a "Feature Request". More like a Feature Restoration request.
We just upgraded from 6 to 9 to address increasing problems working with files created using newer versions and we use Arrows extensively in drawing markups. I came to the forum to find a workarround because the new arrowhead system is pathetic.

6. Re: Paste in place & Custom arrow shape?
spenlinhauer Apr 27, 2010 8:58 AM (in response to cmabee)OP here, Yes it really is crazy that Adobe just doesn't hear us.
But on the bright side, they won't get any more of my money.
We currently run Version 6 and 9, but it is a pain, because you can't run version 6 on a 64bit machine.(at least I think that is the problem we have).
I am worried that one day we won't be able to either install 6, or that a new pdf format will not open in version 6.
So for now all we can do is post.
Problem is that we, the american people don't stand a chance against the big corporations who have no interest in listening to it customers. Same can be said about our current banking system.
