I've been tasked by our network manager to either find a tool centrally manage Adobe update notifications and downloads for all networked computer or find a replacement for Adobe. The point, I believe, is security primarily. Corporate does not want to permit any vendor direct access to desktops.
So my question: Does Adobe have a tool to configure update notifications globally on the network (in my case turn them of), disable prompt to users and control which programs are installed. This was caused when management discovered Adobe had installed Acrobat.com, etc. on desktops.
If Adobe has not management tools what is the best replacement for Adobe Reader. We only need to read PDF files.
Thanks. The wizard seems to have the features I need.
The Customization Wizard will not work since two of our networks don't use SMS. I'll guess we'll move to a third-party PDF solution.
