I really hope someone can help me. I just upgraded from 3 to 4 and suddenly all new audio that I record plays in mono rather than in stereo as with my older audio files. The strange thing is that audio recorded in Ver 3 plays correctly and new audio files play in mono when exported as well. I'm using the same mike on the same laptop in the same office; the only change is the version upgrade. It's got to be a setting issue somewhere but I can't find where any audio output settings are found, except the normal one that allows me to change bitrate capture.
I found the suggestion of downloading the NSAUDIO.DLL patch, but it worked once on my XP system and then reverted back. Can anyone help me???
This would appear to be another instance where the Windows registry has become corrupt or has incorrect permissions. In this first instance I would suggest that you take a look at the following blog post.

If that doesn't solve the problem then please report this issue to the Adobe Captivate team. I am sure a member of the CP team can help you fix this problem.
