1. Re: If I install reader for tests, will it mess up standard install?
~graffiti May 6, 2009 1:21 PM (in response to tcAtlanta)You haven'tmentioned your OS and you've posted in both the Mac and Windows forums. Makes a difference.
Here's the ink to your other thread where I've attempted to answer you.

Stix Hart May 6, 2009 1:25 PM (in response to tcAtlanta)Nope. The only thing that happens is that while you can choose which one opens PDFs by default using 'right click>open with>always use this program', if either Acrobat or Reader is open already this setting is over-ridden and it opens in the program that is already open.

Stix Hart May 6, 2009 1:29 PM (in response to ~graffiti)No OS mentioned but AcroRd32.exe won't work too well on a Mac!

Geo F May 7, 2009 7:50 AM (in response to tcAtlanta)I don't understand what you mean about the /p and batch printing but,
I can tell you that I've had Reader and Standard on the same machine for testing pdfs performance and had no problem.

Bill@VT May 7, 2009 4:35 PM (in response to tcAtlanta)You can probably use it for tests, but don't be surprised if there are some hickups. When you are not testing Reader, be sure that AcroRd32 is not running in the background (the resident part) and be sure Reader is not part of your startup sequence. Be aware that if you later uninstall Reader, you will lilkely have to repair Acrobat (that will be broken by the removal - unless they have improved the way the uninstall works).
