In a nutshell, you start playback of an encrypted video. It will dispatch an authenticate event with the information you need to contact the server. You then authenticate the user and the server returns the voucher needed to play the video.
If offline playback is allowed, you can download the video and use the DRMManager class to get the voucher without having to start playback of the movie. The user can then play the movie at a later time, even if they are offline.
If you've read the docs at http://help.adobe.com/en_US/AIR/1.5/devappsflex/WS5b3ccc516d4fbf351e63e3d118666ade46-7ce3. html I would appreciate knowing what information you couldn't find so that I can improve the documentation.
Thank you for the nutshell clear response!
I have read the documents and downloaded the PDF @ http://help.adobe.com/en_US/AIR/1.5/devappsflash/WS5b3ccc516d4fbf351e63e3d118666ade46-7ce3 .html
My issue is establishing the connection from the AIR player (developed under Flash CS4) to the FRM Server, as well as Setting up the LifeCycle ES Server to procude the encrypted voucher and the flv video, on the fly, with the embeded user details to authenticate if offline!
The flash document version is missing the sample code that the flesh version has, in section "Creating an interface for retrieving user credentials". This would had been a great help. We have now created a Login prompt pop up, so thats its ok..
I have also gone through "Installing and Deploying Adobe Flash Media Rights Managment Server" @ http://www.adobe.com/go/learn_fmrms_install_15
But have failed to enable it to work correctly..
Any help, would be really appreciated!
