      Hi,

      Is there a way you can make a strictly PHP template (Non-HTML) and have editable regions?

      I'm using template markup and I am haveing a hard time with editable and code locking regions which seem to cause errors when saving and updating template and pages.

          Can you say more about what's happening, please?

            Well lets say I have some strictly PHP code (No HTML)... I am using template tags
            quote:

            <!-- TemplateInfo codeOutsideHTMLIsLocked="false" -->
            <?php
            ...
            ?>
            <!-- TemplateBeginEditable name="config" -->
            <?php
            .....
            ?>
            <!-- TemplateEndEditable -->

            I'm getting and "unbalanced tag" error concerning the TemplateInfo comment tag

              That's not going to work. DW wants to see template markup on a valid HTML
              page (i.e., one that contains <html>, <head>, and <body> tags). Sorry.

                That error message will have a line number in it that says where dreamweaver
                gets confused. It may not be the line with the error, but it's a start.

                please give a url to this file saved as .txt, and links to any php includes
                used in it also saved as text files. If there are any includes, are they
                JUST what belongs where they are included, or are they complete html docs
                with their own head and body tags?

                Otherwise, just step through the file, pairing things up.
