    Reducing chart rendering times

    Cr99 Level 1

I have a charting program and most of the time it works quite nicely, but when the data plotted starts to get large (say 10-15K points or more) then the rendering of the chart takes quite a long time.  Also, when you scroll in the page or resize the chart via a slider or something, there is a lot of lag and it gets very jerky as it struggles to replot all those points.  I found the following article and tried the appropriate tips but could not see any change in the performance:

Another puzzling thing is that on both my Mac laptop and Windows desktop the chart below takes about 8 seconds to render.  But on another co-workers laptop, it takes only 1 second to render.  What is going on and how can I fix this?
