I saw a few posts on the forums that looked like they eluded to how to update an air application but they fell short in terms of a solution.
So once the app is deployed, how do you push updates out without the userhaving to uninstall and reinstall the app? So imagine, I release v1.0 and now I have added a new form or something to my air app, I want users to see this new update, how can I push this update out so next time they load the air app, they see my updates?
You can't really push an update (at least not with the built-in functionality). Your AIR app must check for an update, for example, by checking a file on your server when it starts up. You can then download the update file and use the Updater class to update the application. The AIR SDK does include an update framework for managing this, or you can roll your own.
Thanks a bunch. I don't know how I didn't see that in the docs...
