I have the same problem. Any solutions out there?
Are you running the latest update of Flash CS 4? Are there any other applications running in the background? Any haxies? Any particular events that seems to trigger it?
Also you may want to use Console.app to check the crash logs and maybe see if that gives any clues as to what may be happening. And finally, submit a bug report to Adobe.
Make sure you're running 10.0.2 (see my post from 10 minutes ago).
Then, try this.. Create a new admin user on your machine. Install Flash CS4 Pro to that user profile (ie when logged in as that user). Update that install to 10.0.2. Then test.
If it still crashes, then it's probably time for an OS X reinstall. Not uncommon.
If it doesn't crash, then something running in your regular user profile is conflicting with Flash Pro.
Thank you! I think I have narrowed it down to a Flash publishing with Air issue. Using "included files" other than default crashes Flash CS4 for me.
Hi, just signing on to emails...
I'm running 10.5.7. The problem was happening before I just upgraded
the OS - and it still is happening with the new OS.
I will login as a new admin though... and give that a try. Will post
back in a while.
Thank YOU!!!! I'm not sure which step made it work... but it is. I think it was 10.0.2 update - but I disabled a bunch of stuff from my user profile upon startup as well.
When I created a NEW admin userprofile - flash cs4 10.0 worked.
I installed the update and removed my startup apps and it works now. So a big thank you.
