I don't know where to start

I'm a designer not a programmer so I find myself way over my head. I bought a template you can view at http://www.digidoodlestudios.com/new/index.html or you can download the full flash file at http://www.digidoodlestudios.com/new/11.fla. What I want is the for a new scrolling thumbnail bar to replace the existing bar when the user clicks on one of the large leaf, flower, or insect buttons at the top. If someone could tell me how to proceed I'd really appreciate it. I don't even know where to start or what it's called to search for it. Thanks!

I took a look at this template. It's pretty much a train wreck. This was done in Flash 6 using AS1. You should return this product and get your money back. There are no instructions anywhere. None of the code that I could find was commented. Not one single movieClip in the Library has a useful name. The rollover animation for About me is named "Symbol 22" and the animation for Porfolio is named "Symbol 22 copy".

You can, eventually, find the parts that you are looking for by selecting each movieClip in the Library and opening them, one by one, in the editor.

While I have never seen a good template, this particular example is the least professional one I have ever looked at. It's interesting that the producer's name is nowhere to be found.

Thanks for looking at this for me. Yeah, I knew it was a nightmare, but was hoping to salvage it somehow. I think I'll change gears though. Thanks again.

I second that Rob. I have yet to see a nicely organized Flash template.
Every time I get the luck of editing one, I charge more for the time and headache of reading through and searching for code, than I do for the actual changes/edits.
