    Use Director for web authoring?

    Gruntbuggly

Hello!  I occasionally author CDs, and use Director MX.  I would like to re-do my company's website, and know that Director can output a file as HTML.  Can this be used to generate a funtional website?  Are there naming conventions (index.html) or anything that I'll need to follow?  Thanks!  chris

Director is not a web site authoring tool. Yes it can output HTML, but this is usually just to embed a Shockwave movie into a browser. You could create your web site in Shockwave, but then anyone visiting would have to either have the plugin or install it before viewing your site. You should use Dreamweaver (or similar) instead.
