This would be a lot of overkill becouse for every client who connects to the chat room; each connected client must have an incoming stream listening to the connecting client. So when you have like 200 users connected, every client participating in the chat-session should have arround 203-205 streams open (depending on functionality). And I don't think that is verry performance-friendly. For these solutions I would go for flash media server.
