1. Re: Getting an exception while converting file

I've asked some folks here what that error message means... do you get the same error if you try to convert in a different browser? What OS and browser are you using?
Thanks,
Michelle

2. Re: Getting an exception while converting file
ac361 May 15, 2009 2:34 PM (in response to mcacbat)Hi, Michelle. Thanks for your quick reply. I'm on FF 3.0.10, Win XP Pro SP2. I have the latest Acrobat Pro on my PC but it was throwing an error:
%%[ Error: ioerror; OffendingCommand: imageDistiller; ErrorInfo: DCTDecodeFilter Source error or end in scan 0 8x8 block 71491 ]%%
Solution? Under your printers in Windows, right-click Adobe PDF, choose Properties > General tab > Printing Preferences. Make sure the checkbox for "Rely on system fonts; do not use document fonts" is off. I'm not sure why it's throwing the other error on the online version of Acrobat, unless it's unable to find the non-system font I'm using in the PPT file. For now, I've gotten my work done.

3. Re: Getting an exception while converting file
ac361 May 15, 2009 2:38 PM (in response to ac361)I think I know what's going on: It has to do with the Garamond Premr Pro font in the PPT file. It's not embedded in the doc, nor can it be (because it's not a TrueType font). If I were using a TrueType font, I could embed the font and then upload to Acrobat.com; more than likely, this would solve the issue.

mcacbat May 15, 2009 2:43 PM (in response to ac361)It's true that we only have so many fonts on our conversion servers... Thank you for the updates! Glad you were able to sort it out.
