I am having an issue with Premiere Pro CS3. the left/right scrolling in the timeline has very poor redraw performance. The specs for my computer are not skimpy:
MAC Pro running Leopard 10.5.7
2 x 3.2 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon
4GB RAM 800 MHz DDR2 FB-DIMM
NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT
All other programs perform beautifully with no other complaints. Does anyone have any suggestions?
On a pc Page Scroll usally gives the best performance, give it a go on your Mac and see what happens.
CS2 had some redraw issues whereby things might not be redrawn (or would be incorrectly redrawn) until playback was stopped and it could 'catch up'. CS3 'fixed' that, but now suffers from a certain amount of flickering. CS4 has improved upon that further, but still does not offer a fully flicker free proper redraw experience. (Try saying that five time fast!)
In short, this is just the way things are.
