Trying to understand the best way to store and access information about the current user of my application. In ColdFusion I can just create a CurrentUser Struct and stick in the Session scope. Now I am dealing with a whole different animal.
So I am looking for best practise on how to take some data I get when the user is authenticated and make it available to my entire application. I have several queries on my back end that require the users ID so I guess I would need getters for each property.
If I had to guess i would create a CurrentUser class and just use the import statement to make it available where ever needed.
If you're using CF as your backend you could use the CF security framework . In your Flex app you ask for login credentials, then you send that data using setRemoteCredentials to CF, CF validates that data and if that users has access send back the necessary info to your Flex app.
