I am trying to create web buttons. I am fairly new at this. I created a button that has two layers (text and background). For the background layer I have selected that layer and then click one of the styles underneath the Assets panel. These styles have a certain set of effects. When you click a style, it is implemented in the color that is shown on the style. Is there a way change the color used for that style and its effects? For example, if you click the "chrome misc 004" style, how can the color be changed to something else like green but still maintain the effects?
Highlight your button and look at the Properties box (down on the left).
You will see that a few filters have been applied to the button.
Scroll down the filter panel and select Hue/Saturation. Click on the little 'i' icon and have a play around with this and you get the look you're after.
Adjusting the filters will also change the look of the button - just play around with them and see how you go :-)
Thanks for the help. This answered my question. It would be nice if I could use the eye dropper to sample colors but I can still accomplish my goal with the sliders. Thanks again.
