We are evaluating Captivate and believe that we want to begin using it. I have one question that I cannot seem to find the answer to in the user manual or online so I apologize in advance if this is obvious.
We want to control and know who has taken the courses and the tests and to have that information delivered back to the instructor. How do we control which users are allowed to take the courses and what their passwords are?
This is normally accomplished by using something called a Learning Management System (LMS). A LMS is a database application that requires an administrator to assign and configure User IDs, Passwords, Courses, Curriculums and the like. You then upload Captivate content into the LMS and the LMS handles allowing the user to log in and it serves the assigned course to the user.
Moodle is an open source LMS that some use.
Thank you very much for your prompt answer.
That does make sense but Learning Managment System sounded sufficiently vague and I didn't look there.
Love the moniker!
