Flash Lite fails to install on Windows 6.1

I recently upgraded my blackjack to Windows Mobile 6.1 and today decided to re-install the application I was working on. After downloading the .CAB and allowing Flash Lite to install I get this error: "Adobe Flash Lite is not available for this device".

I live in Canada, is this also a possible reason for the error? I had been using the distributal player previously on Windows 6.0 so I'm assuming it worked at some point, or maybe I had downloaded a stand alone version of Flash Lite?

Help!!!

PS: If Windows Mobile 6.1 is not supported, is it on the roadmap? What about Windows Mobile 6.5+?

Hi,

Windows Mobile 6.1 is supported, did you receive firmware from Samsung to upgrade your device?

Can you tell us what your user-agent string is?

Visit tinyurl.com/uagent and recording the string shown.

I downloaded the Windows Mobile 6.1 upgrade package from Samsung, and it was packaged specifically for my carrier, Fido. The upgrade installed with no errors.

my phones user agent is:

SAMSUNG-SGH-I616/1.0 Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows CE; IEMobile 7.11)

Hi,

Unfortunately we haven't enabled Canada as yet, although we intend to start network testing soon. Keep an eye on my blog below to get updated as we go live.

In the mean time you can download Flash Lite 3.1 from our labs site.

Thanks for the user-agent data, this will help us understand better the various firmware out there. I notice that your user-agent reports 6.0 instead of 6.1, presumably they did that on purpose so as to not break anything.

Hi,

I tried to install Flash Player 7 for Pocket PC CAB file on my HTC - Windows 6.1 device and after accepting the terms and services i got the confirmation that the program is successfully installed but i still cannot see any flash content on my phone. One more question - I will be able to see the .swf files on my device after installing the software, right...???
