We are considering buying a couple of Panasonic HMC-150's and I am curious about the 4mb limit of the FAT32 memory. Will premiere CS4 stitch the files back together so you just have one long clip. If not can you just put the split files back to back with no frame drop? We currently shoot HDV with Sony V1u's and have an external sony CF Card recorder and we have to use the Sony utility to stitch them together and then import them into Premiere.
If Premiere does stich them back together, do you need to import the footage directly off the SD card or can you drag and drop from the SD Card onto your Hard Drive and then import into Premiere with the Media Browser?

If memory serves, yes. However, users in another forum have complained about an audio glitch when playing back over the seam.
