Want to edit .wmv files so I downloaded a trial of Premiere 7.
I'm using Vista Home Premium with 3G RAM and plenty of available space.
I installed the program, imported one .wmv file and it crashed.
I repaired the program, reopened the project and it crashed.
I uninstalled and reinstalled (via run as administrator) with nothing else running at the time and it crashed.
Continue to reboot and try more things but still crashing.
Here's the error message:

Any suggestions to make it work?
I would not recommend using WMVs as source files for Premiere Elements projects. There are two many varations of WMV files, and not all are compatible with the program.
To give the program a real test drive, us DV-AVIs as your source files.
You can use Windows MovieMaker to convert WMVs to DV-AVIs, per the FAQs to the right of this forum.
