Can you post the code you are currently using.
hi rosss, I could change the width and height of the video component. But the problem that still existing is I can't position the componet to (0,0) .Actually the position of movieclilp which contains the video component is (0,0). I cant position the video component inside this movieclip at (0,0). Did yuo get what I meant.
So you have an FLVPlayback component inside of a MovieClip on the stage.
The MovieClip is positioned at 0,0 and, when the video loads, you resize the FLVPlayback component. You need to be able to reposition the FLVPlayback component as well, and are trying to set it to the same position as the MovieClip, correct?
Essentially, it works like this. When you position with code, it refers to the upper left corner of the object. But, it goes deeper than that. All objects have their own reference points, so any nested objects use that as the 0,0 point.
So, the MovieClip reference point needs to be at the upper left corner of the content in order to use the same 0,0 as the main stage. If you do that, the FLVPlayback can use the same reference point as the MovieClip, and you should be able to position things accordingly.
If you need further help with this, I will need to see some code, or the FLA itself. I have Flash CS3, so if you are using CS4 you will need to save it back so that I can open it.
Thank you Ross. Actually the movieclip was linked with three layers. I didn’t see the movieclip on third layer. Because of that, it was not placing on the correct position.
