I am doing a zoom in on an Illustrator map with a camera. I have set various camera positions, mostly zooming in on the map. On one keyframe I have a position of 225 130 -65 and on the next 225 130 -20. In between these two LINEAR keyframes, the camera goes all the way to 225 130 14, which is on the other side of my map altogether. I don't understand why this is happening since these are linear keyframes and the camera should travel directly from one point to another, within the specified range of motion. Is there something I'm missing?
As Todd so correctly pointed out - keep in mind that AE distinguishes between temporal ands spatial interpolation. If it's getting on your nerves, simply enable the Default Spatial Interpolation to Linear in the prefs and you'll get the more understandable "dumb" initial behavior.
