I'm using Adobe's Classroom in a Box for Premier CS4 on a Vista 64 system with 8GB ram and 4 HDs - two of which have 1TB/each. I'm following the tutorials using the provided clips. Up until this point, the lessons have worked well. Section 6.5 is on the use of the Trim Monitor. I can trim in and out points - but I have no audio when trimming. If I hit the playback button - nothing happens. I don't want to include a bunch of info you may/may not need. I'll just start with this.
I don't hear audio in the trimmer either [OSX, PPro 4.01]. As I recall that was true of PPro 3 OSX and Win as well.
If you'll forgive the pun, the manual is mute on audio in the trimmer though using the word "scrub" implies sound.
Do you get audio playback across the trim if you use the space-bar rather than the "Play Edit" button?
Yes, if I hit the spacebar, I have audio on my external speakers. Thanks for the thought.
