Kind: QuickTime Movie
Dimensions: 853 x 480
Codecs: H.264, Apple Lossless
Channel count: 2
Total bit rate: 3,668
I need to cut a chunk out of this video, but want to maintain as high a quality as possible. What import settings should I use within Premier Pro CS4, and then what export settings to maintain this same quality?
Does this require a download of any codecs that don't come with Premier Pro CS4 by default?
I see two problems here. First, H.264 is a very lossy compression format. So it can't be both that and Apple Lossless. So I'd question what's up there.
Second, Premiere does have a tendency to work best with standard camera formats, which your clip is not. Another editor may be a better choice. VideoHelp.com is full of such things.
I'm with Jim. Use QuickTime Pro to mess with QuickTime files.
Thanks for your help!
I DO have quicktime pro. I'll get right on it.
