3. Re: Fiters applied with Time Remapping don't work?
Eddie Lotter Jun 3, 2009 11:06 AM (in response to jdmoor)Okay, try this: Put the clip in a new sequence and apply time-remapping. Now nest that sequence in the original sequence and keyframe the other parameters. Does this solve the problem?
Cheers

4. Re: Fiters applied with Time Remapping don't work?
jdmoor Jun 3, 2009 12:37 PM (in response to Eddie Lotter)Eddie, that works but isn't nesting a sequence just another type of work-around? Seems to me even if a clip is time re-mapped, Premiere has to alter the clip to 30fps before it can play so why does Premiere ignor the key-framed filter? I'm thinking this may be a bug.

5. Re: Fiters applied with Time Remapping don't work?
joshtownsend Jun 3, 2009 12:54 PM (in response to jdmoor)I don't think it's a bug really. I mean time remapping is changing the duration of the clip and adding more keyframes to a seperate effect probably messes with the rendering order.
Nesting isn't a bad work around at all. If you start using After Effects you'll find that it's similar to precomposing clips.
If you thinks it's a bug, send a bug report to Adobe. Personally I can see it being an issue with the way Premiere works.

6. Re: Fiters applied with Time Remapping don't work?
jdmoor Jun 3, 2009 1:01 PM (in response to joshtownsend)The way Premiere works.... probably so. I think it could be reasonably argued either way. If it is "normal", I guess I'd like to see an error message or something say "hey, you can't do that on a time re-mapped clip" .. or something like that.
But then, I'd like to see a progression bar fill up as AME loads a project too just so I'd have that warm & fuzzy that something is happening and know my machine hadn't frozen.
Thanks...
