    Flex, AIR & WMV - Is it possible?

    enzoZero

      Okay, this is where I am. I'd be pulling my hair out at about this point if I wasn't bald. What I am trying to do is play a WMV in an AIR app. The way I am going about it is to embed the WMV inside an html page. Through Flex I load the html page into the HTML Container. When ever I go to test the movie I get error in the console window:

      HTML ERROR: Unmatched </embed> encountered. Ignoring tag.

      I'm sort of at a loss on solving this issue. I'm pretty stubborn so I have finally come to you all to see if the above is possible. Below I have copy and pasted only the relevent code from Flex & Dreamweaver.

      HTML

      <html>

      </head>
      <body>
      <div>
      <object classid="clsid:6BF52A52-394A-11d3-B153-00C04F79FAA6" width="320" height="240">
        <param name="url" value="./NetworkTesting.wmv" />
        <param name="autostart" value="true" />
        <param name="autosize" value="true" />
        <param name="stretchtofit" value="true" />
        <param name="volume" value="100" />
        <param name="enablecontextmenu" value="false" />
        <embed width="320" height="240" autostart="true" url="./NetworkTesting.wmv" autosize="true" stretchtofit="true" volume="100" enablecontextmenu="false"></embed>
      </object>
      </div>
      </body>
      </html>

      Flex

      <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
      <mx:WindowedApplication xmlns:mx="http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml" height="600" width="800"
      layout="absolute" creationComplete="init()">

      <mx:Canvas width="620" height="480">
          <mx:HTML height="400" width="550" id="content" location="app:/video_demo/index_1.htm"/>
      </mx:Canvas>

      </mx:WindowedApplication>

      Any help on this issue will be most appreciated!
