you can do that with jsfl, but not actionscript and you can't do that during run-time.
what's a frame-based hitTest() and what does it lack?

Ok, so ignore the editing thing, originally i wanted the "A" to keep its rotation when jumping, but i think actually it looks better turning upright again.
And the hitTest thing, try to move the cursor slowly down while the "A" is on it, and you´ll see that hittest is a bit late, and the "A" constantly has to snap up.
Hope i´ve made myself clear.
