In Fireworks cs4, is there a record command that creates a macro or a script (similar or msword), where i can play it back or assign it to a keystroke for repetative functions?
For example I need a hot-key driven script that: Opens a skelatin project, performs a paste, does a center graphic command, groups the pasted graphic with two pre-existing text areas, adds a style to the new group, initiates a save as dialogue box.
I dont want to spend any time learning script. i need a time saver not a time consuming task. A "Record macro/script" feature is what i need.
You can open the History panel at any time, select a series of steps
and save them as a custom command.
Thank you sir!
The only steps it doesn't store is the openning of the skelliton PNG file and the saveing as, but i can live with that.
I have Not tried it yet but i have saved a script just to see what it contains.
It is pretty wild.
Anyway Thank you (once again) for your quick and accurate answer.
You're welcome! Keep in mind that Fw will only record steps that use
keyboard input. Mouse driven changes will not be recorded. Once you've
created the command, you can try using the Batch Process wizard to
apply the command to multiple images.
