as2 or as3? and BoxA and BoxB are not related to each other, correct?
AS 3 for right now, unless I need to change. I am using flash CS4 too. I not for sure what you mean by are they related, but here is the tutorial I used to make it.http://www.flashperfection.com/tutorials/Mouse-Over-70917.html My setup is not the exact same, I have one image in the backgound and then I am using a transparent image to create "hotspots". Then instead of BOX B being inside BOX A mine is outside to the side of BOX A. Once again the dilima is where BOX B overlaps other BOX A's.
when you start, boxA is visible but boxB is not? then when you mouse over boxA, boxB is made visible?
and when boxB is moused over (which you'll need to explain if it's not visible), what do you want to happen?
Yes, When you Mouse over BOX A; BOX B is made visibile
When you mouse over the area, I know that BOX B is it becomes visible. What I want is for nothing to happen when box B is moused over.
What I want is something like what adobe has on there homepage (blacked out verzion with the 4 packages) (mostly on during the evenings)
(in both cases, BOX A and B are both becoming visible, its just that BOX A is a transparent image)
Being new to flash, all i see is a design view, where would I put this code, and could you tell me where in the steps I linked early would it go. Or is this a completely different way to do it.
THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!!!
click window/action (or hit f9). that will open the action panel where you should place code.
so the box A in the code would be a layer, or a symbol?
