There's a new problem that I am facing in the generated chm file. Although the numeric character, % has been used in our content, the search tab fails to recognize the character. The message that consequently appears is : "No topics found". Can this be explained and thereafter resolved?
This is a limitation of the HTML Help viewer for which there is no real workaround, to my knowledge. The % character falls into the category of characters that are ignored during a search. (Punctuation marks and many other symbols are also ignored.)
This page has some detailed information on how to conduct HTML Help searches, although it doesn't mention the % character specifically:
Can you train your readers to omit the % character when searching for words that contain it?
