Trivial, perhaps, but I've always wondered why mxml text files show up as unix executables in OSX. I realize it is because they have their execute flag set, of course, but WHY is it set? If I chmod -x the file, it shows up as a document and appears to work with Flex just fine.
I might be a bit OCD, but I like my docs to look like docs, not programs, in the Finder.
Also, someday can we have actual document icons for Flex .mxml files?
How are you creating these files, through Flash Builder? I did some quick tests and none of my source files have the executable flag set on them. Are you going through some source control system perhaps that is doing something to them?
And I agree, having the extension registered with the OS and real document icons would be nice, we are aware of it
No, they are all created in Flex Builder and now Flash Builder.
