.chm doesn't open in the application browser.

I have created help file using Robohelp 7. I need to link it with the application. The application is Javascript based.
      1) When I call the .chm file through Javascript, the .chm doesn't open in the application browser.
      2) The Webhelp is too heavy (9MB) and would cause problem if linked to the application.
Is there anyway I can link the .chm, or reduce the size of Webhelp folder?

If my understanding is correct, application browsers like IE, Firefox, and Safari can't be opened in browsers as CHM files use certain Windows DLL files to open the respective topics.

      Any help!
