    How to split a string at a specific character position?

      hi guys
      i've got a string, and I want to be able to perform a split at a specific character position, I've identified what number the character is at, but don't know how to split at that point.

      For example
      "here is my string, I love swimming and the letter S is cool";

      the s for swimming is character 27, how can I split at character 27?
      if i do myString.split(myString.charAt(27)); it will split at the first occurance of the letter "s" which is character 7.

      Can anyone point me in the right direction?
      Any suggestions really appreciated :-)
