Which html wrapper are you using?
Would you mind explaining that - sorry very new to this.
Why do you say it's not working?
The page loads fine but there is no stack navigation - there is in the builder version.
Oh I see, you mean the arrows that allow you to move from one view to another, that's something that flex builder has to allow to navigate faster in your app, in case you want to modify something. If you want to have that kind of navigation in your final app, you'll have to create one see this example
Could this problem have anything to do with the fact that I am opening it on a usb stick that I want to show colleagues tomorrow?
Thanks Michael, I have all the views working and can flick through them in the builder environment but suspect that because I am trying to open them from the usb stick they are not hooking up with the Flash player, I'll try them on another machine.
Nope that didn't work. I can't get my head around this.
Just had this pop up when I tried to open the Flash file:
SecurityError: Error #2148: SWF file file:///F|/u.Publish/experiment.swf cannot access local resource file:///F|/u.Publish/Thumb1.jpg. Only local-with-filesystem and trusted local SWF files may access local resources.
When working in Flex Builder, the -use-network compiler flag is set to false by default.
When uploading to the server, set the compiler flag to -use-network=true and build the app in Flex Builder, then you can see the ViewStack views outside FB.
To set the compiler option in FB:
Project - Properties from the main menu, then click on Flex Compiler category and add -use-network to "Additional compiler arguments:".

Than ks for that Greg - I'll give that a go.
Great that you guys are out there. Do you think that for an online degree course delivery system that I am using the best method (Flex) or am I making things difficult for myself?
Thanks for that Greg, I'll give that a go - it's so frustrating when you can
see the thing working in FB but are unable to show anyone else.
