COLOUR MANAGEMENT IN PHOTOSHOP CS2 AND COLOUR SAMPLE POINTS

    roseanne1234

I always place colour sample points on my images in order to monitor colour changes as I adjust. When I soft proof (using using Perceptual rendering),I go to the Information pallette and right click on the colour sample points.I then choose Proof option on the basis that this should tell me the colour of the sample points when I print to my chosen printing paper profile.

However, this seems not to work. If I then make a new document (say 100 by 100 pixels) and fill it with the Proof colour,as indicated in the Information pallette as described above,it bears no resemblance to the image that I have soft proofed as seen on my display (Contrtol Y). Hard to explain all this in a message, but can anyone assist?

      Grateful,

      Roseanne
