          I found out that I can make the border of the radio button appear/disappear like this:

            radioButton.strokeColor = color.transparent;

            radioButton.strokeColor = color.black;

          However, I still have one problem: I would like the filled black circle in the middle to be always invisible/transparent as well.

          I tried this, but it is not allowed:

            radioButton.textColor = color.transparent;

          In essence, what I am trying to do is implement a circling tool in which only the outside circle is seen.

          TIA,

            What's the point of a radio button if you can't see if it's checked or not?

            If you want a circling tool I suggest you use something else. Maybe an annotation.

              This is copy & pasted from another forum.

              Is it possible to have a completely invisible Check Box?

              How can I create an invisible set of Check Boxes?

              The only feature I need is the ability to detect clicks on them, I will program my own visual part. What I am trying to implement is a circling tool.

              Let's say that a form contains the weekdays:

                   Sun  Mon  Tue  Wed  Thu  Fri  Sat

              I would like to place 7 invisible check marks on the days and set {hidden|visible} property on the 7 pre-drawn circles.

              TIA,

              Rather than checkboxes, I would do buttons with an blank appearance that you can then switch to a circle with setButtonIcon().

              Leonard,

              I implemented a preliminary version of the constrained circling tool, based on your non-appearance button suggestion. Now I realize, however, that a real set of Check Box/Radio Button provides me with more than a plain rectangle that detects clicks.

              - I need the ability to navigate through the fields by pressing TAB - This is provided.

              - I need the ability to check/uncheck by pressing SPACE - This is not provided.

              But, more importantly: I need the ability to automatically fill the forms, and this will require some additional coding making it more expensive/complex.

              Therefore, I reopen my question about finding a way(s) to make a little customization to the Radio Button widget.

              All is need is to make the central filled circle disappear, plus some of the border circles (for W and Th) have to be larger.
