"this program does not support PowerPC architecture CPU". What does this mean?
Exactly what it says. PowerPC architecture is not supported. You need an Intel based MAC. On the Windows side of the fence it is not much different. You can't install CS4 on a Pentium 66, just too old and outdated.
Academic version has nothing to do with it, just the fact that this MAC is too old and outdated.
Ok, so this means that this huge, old computer wont support video editing software? This is un-cool. Thanks for the help.
Unfortunately state-of-the-art video editing applications require more-or-less state-of-the-art computers to run. That's life. Probably Premiere 4.0 or maybe even 5.0 runs on a PowerPC MAC, but that likely was not your intention.
thanks again for the help. I'll just have to wait for my new MacBook Pro, and if it doesn't run it, i'll flip.
Have a good one
